The Missing Link: Why Aren't Efforts to Eliminate Racial and Other Disparities Working?


























On Thursday January 26th at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET the Health Communication, Health Literacy, & Social Science #hchlitss Twitter chat welcomes Jim Anderson @equitypa.  Jim is a Physician Assistant, and chair of the Health Disparities Work Group of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He has been active in speaking and writing about racial and other health disparities, with a particular focus on the impact of provider's unconscious stereotyping on disparities. The work group tweets and blogs about health disparities, and promotes awareness of disparities within the PA and related medical professions. Jim is also on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is a clinical informatics educator for the University of Washington Medicine-IT Services.
